So you want some info on me? Ok, proceed with caution.

Well, first of all this avenue of work im currently driving down in 190 km/hour in both lanes is not the road I always travelled. I have held numerous jobs, in fact, I've had such various jobs that my former neighbour suspected me of being a liar. I've worked as a bartender, digital receiver technician, coder, art director, musician (that even brought me on stage on Roskilde festival in 99 Friday night), chef (man that sucked, although I love to cook at home), bouncer, soldier, paperboy, selling stationary supplies for offices, plate steel blacksmith/welder and others weird jobs. During all those jobs I always loved to draw and paint although people around me didn't always love me doing it.

I started tattooing in 1996 and have worked with tattooing on and off in various studies as part owner and hired help. I stopped working with tattoos for a few years but slowly i started missing it and eventually i decided to open my own studio here in Malmö. Come by and say hi some day. Sorry to have to put you thru this but you insisted. Nah, just kidding, thanks for taking your time to read my rant. If I ever meet you ill treat you to a beer and a tale from the land of the vikings.

Shellys story

Hi..my name is Shelly , I am a tattoo artist at One Floor Down.
I am originally from N.O.,La.(U.S.A.) After attending the New Orleans academy of fine arts I found myself searching for my identity, and by chance I was offered an apprenticeship as a tattoo artist.
It seems like so long ago and I guess it is, 16 years is a long time to be in one business. Tattooing has given me the intellectual capacity to rise above daily concerns of life.
I try to stay in touch with reality even though I've had experinces that are quite removed from the ordinary physical world.
I feel lucky to be working with Nis, Jokke and Bartek. They acknowledge the love that they encounter everyday, and I love that. I am here to expand my collective awareness with new experiences and new perspectives.
My concerns are for doing the best I can with everything I do ,so I can grow and become a more complete human being . Prevent stagnation by getting ahead in life , my way!

Oh yeah, also making people and myself happy with awesome tattoos.

Jokke's story

Hey! It's me!
I started out as shopmanager for the OFD crew but when Mina got promoted from apprentice to Proper Tattoo Artist i got the offer to step up and become the next apprentice, an offer one cannot refuse.
Since I have a more computer oriented background than the others in the crew, except from Nis, we decided to try and incorporate that into my apprenticeship to create new possibilites of creating the clients requested art prior to be permanently inked into their skin. Exciting stuff for sure so stay tuned for that one!
Naturally I will be tutored and pushed to perform in the classical art of tattooing and hopefully live up to the high standards one can expect from One Floor Down Artists.
I've always been semi-hyper and brimming with ideas and suggestions coupled with some drawing skills and an eye for detail, which i guess helped persuade my longtime friend Nis into considering giving me the honor of becoming Apprentice at One Floor Down. Either that or he just wanted me to shut up and do something useful...
